Change

Change is not a bad thing.
Change comes in all sort of ways.
Change can bring us new prospects, a new hope.
Change doesn't have to be wrought with doubt, insecurities or worry.
Change can be a breath of fresh air.
Change can be a new wonderful thing.
Change can restore, rebuild, revitalize and renew.
Change is positive.
Change is us yielding to the future.
Change can bring peace in turmoil.
Change can bring love in a hostile environment.
Change can send us on a new fulfilling course.
Change can refresh a weary soul.
Change can make hearts soften.
Change can force us to do what we can not do on our own.
Change can be a willing advocate when things look bleak.
Change transforms the old and brings in the new.
Change can alter us and makes us better.

Don't look to the negative, see the positive in changing. Look forward to the new blessings. Let go of the former things. Let God show you the blessings of change. Let the Lord lead to toward a new adventure.

Isaiah 19
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

Philippians 3:14
This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Change is good. Truth is better.

"Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely."

If the thing involves confusion, it is not of God.
"For God is not the Author of Confusion"

If the thing involves deceit, it is of the Devil.
"For the devil is the Father of Lies"

It's in the book.

Examine yourself and not others hearts! For only God knows what lies in our thoughts and in our minds. For only God separates the goats from the sheep.
For only God gives the Holy Spirit.
For only God is love and He alone judges, man should not.
For only through His path for our lives, brings blessings, happiness and peace.
For God is our God, not mine or yours, He is everyone's.

Acts 15:8 (New International Version)
God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us.

Please, please don't use phrases and you don't know where they come from...
It was John Emerich Edward Dalberg-Acton (Lord Acton) who originally wrote "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men." in a letter dated April, 1887, to Bishop Mandell Creighton. Many people who quote Lord Acton's Dictum aren't aware that it refers to Papal power and was made by a questioning Catholic.

By the way, I believe God is the only power and He is absolute power!

Irene - I truly hope your blog does not become a place of bitterness and bickering. Your words have always been so encouraging and well-considered. I hope others will take their cues from that. I know that this specific entry had little, if anything, to do with changes at church - and those who have invested time in your family know that, as well. Please keep writing - I know you aren't pushing agendas or making statements - and I always appreciate what you have to say.

Thanks Darren! I looked at "The Reason I Write" section. I write to clarify my thoughts and heart, if I have any agenda it is only to pour out and decipher my own soul. "Change" was written the week before I actually posted it and had to do with a personal "Crisis" and personal "Change" I was dealing with. I'm wholly unclear about why people posted what they did...but I don't have to understand everything, even though I want to! "Change" was written about how I need to "Change" my heart, my mind, my way of thinking. "Change" was written so I could reason out why I need to change and I how I must be willing to change...I need help in that Dept...because frankly I don't want to...Oh, well! I'm dealing with the understanding of why I must change and I am the only one through Christ that can decide to change in a positive way or a negative way. Thanks for posting!
